Oklahoma City’s Gregory Jerome is an emcee, poet, educator and community activist. He is the founder of Elemental Hip Hop, an after school program aimed at educating the youth about arts, creativity, and the culture of Hip Hop. XRV is a poetic piece that depicts reflections of a personal journey and heritage counterparts. The grand entrance to the present and the future. It’s the liberation of captivity from self. The piece represents awareness of “full purpose” and “full potential”, knowing why one was created. We all are designed for a mission. And mine is to enlighten the masses through lyricism providing hope. This my introduction to my re-introduction.
Gregory Jerome’s Bio
A lyricist with wit, streets smarts, and love for extended smiles. He touches the tragedies and triumphs in life, well as on hope, peace and unity. He separates himself with a message giving hip hop a new solid conscientious voice with non-exclusive lyrics, positive and inspiration.
Gregory Jerome began his music career while attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, it was not until he enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University, where he would find success in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a feature artist for numerous bands which led him opening for national recording artists.
Gregory Jerome is considered a community activist and a supporter of the arts. He has dedicated his talents to provide art after school programs and enrichment literacy workshops for youth and young adults. Gregory Jerome is a true leader for all communities .
